NORD I & D 2013 "Looking for New Identity of Information Professionals"
The event is for information professionals and people interested of the future of Knowledge Sector such as information specialists/managers/directors or responsible for designing Knowledge Organisations.
The goal of our event is to expose todays challenges concerning Big Data and the ongoing digitazing and further more their effects to the everyday life of information professionals as well in private sectors as in public sectors and to find means to manage them.
The 15th NORD I & D (Information and Dokumentation) Conference will be held in Helsinki June 12 – 13, 2013 at The House of Science and Letters ( Tieteiden talo ) organized by the Society for Finnish Information Specialists ( Tietoasiantuntijat ry ).

Nord I&D Conference has a decades long tradition as the Forum for Nordic Information Specialists and it will be held every 3 years together with Nordic sister organizations. Last Nord I&D conference was in Bergen in 2010, and last time Finland was hosting this event in Turku in 1998. Now we are going to expand this event for Baltic Countries, Poland and Russia. We are also working for getting speakers from the western countries.
Nord I & D 2013 will be a 2-day Conference during June 12 – 13, 2013 including Exhibition, evening venues and optional pre and/or post-conference meetings.

NORD I & D 2013 “Tietoammattilainen uuden identiteetin kynnyksellä”
Tilaisuus on tarkoitettu tietoalan asiantuntijoille ja alan tulevaisuudesta kiinnostuneille kuten esimerkiksi tietojohtajat, tietohallintojohtajat ja -päälliköt, informaatikot tai tieto-organisaatioiden suunnittelusta vastaavat.
Tapahtumassa pyritään valottamaan tämän hetken haasteita Big Dataa ja digitalisoitumisen jatkumista ja niiden vaikutuksia tietotyöläisen arkeen niin yritysten kuin julkisen sektorin kannalta, sekä löytämään keinoja niistä selviytymiseen.
Järjestyksessään jo 15. Nord I & D –tapahtuma (Nordisk Information & Dokumentation) pidetään Helsingissä 12.-13.6.2013 Tieteiden talolla. Käytännön järjestelyistä vastaa Tietoasiantuntijat ry.
Tapahtuma on joka kolmas vuosi yhdessä pohjoismaisten sisarjärjestöjen kanssa toteutettu yhteispohjoismainen konferenssi, jolla on jo vuosikymmenien perinteet. Edellisen kerran tilaisuus järjestettiin Norjan Bergenissä 2010 ja Suomessa edellisen kerran vuonna 1998 Turussa. Nyt tulevaa tapahtumaa on laajennettu entistä kansainvälisemmäksi.
Nord I & D 2013 sisältää kaksipäiväisen konferenssin 12.-13.6.2013 ja siihen liittyvän iltatapahtuman.
